The W202 model code is a designation by Mercedes-Benz as replacement to the 190 W201 series of sedans. The next generation of C-Class vehicles follows the same naming convention.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class W205 - A Significant Upgrade
While the 2nd and 3rd generation of Mercedes-Benz C-Class have improvements of their own in terms of size and power, the next giant leap was really in their 4th generation. 1st introduced in 2014, this generation of W205 sedans is well known as the first C-Class cars with plug-in hybrid option as well as a cockpit with completely digital interface.

This model is extremely significant when it comes to engine type as the 5th generation has ditched the V6 and V8 Engine in favor of the I4 Turbo-Charged Engine for all its versions of vehicles. The most powerful model of the W206 comes with 671 HP and can easily reach 60 mph in mere 3.3 seconds.
The latest model didn't skimp on size either since it comes in at 187.0 inches long and 74.4 inches wide - the largest in its model to date.
