The i3 was BMW's first electric vehicle. It was released in 2013 as a 5-door electric hatchback with rear wheel drive. The i3s, a sportier version of the i3, was later released in 2017.
Though no longer in production, the i3 actually paved the way for other BMW electric cars like the BMW i4 and BMW iX.

Some i3 models also have a Range Extender. The Ranger Extender is a small petrol engine that charges the battery to extend the driving distance of the car.
